About
The Story…
Taking place nearly two hundred years in the future, the races of the world are enjoying a precariously delicate peace. 200 years ago, the thousand year war, or the War of Eternity, ended. Deru is your average Half-Elf, treated like dirt, alone, and poor. She lives in the forest with her animal friends as she is able to speak and sometimes control the “lower life forms”. But her destiny is outside of that forest, when she bumps into a friendly Elf, and her world is never the same again. Bent on a quest to find out their pasts, Deru, with her newfound friends, go on a journey that will take them from the Omega to the Alpha, will test their friendship, and will ask everything from them.
Welcome to a world of fantasy and science, magic and energy, danger and mystery. Where the existence of Man, Elf, Half-Elf, Dwarf, Troll, Kaiolohian’s, and more, are resting solely on the shoulders of three teenagers.
About Triune
I started working on a concept comic all the way back in 2004 after I had a special trip to the Art Institute in Portland Oregon. I had many ideas, but this one stuck out as something I could really get into. At first, I liked the way I was doing things, but it wasn’t until I picked up a book about how to make web comics (see links) that I decided to redo the entire thing; story, characters, design, everything. Originally it was dubbed “Dez The Lonely Half-Elf” until I changed it to “Perfect Grey” then changed it yet again to “Triune” after another major character design and story shift. Dez was Deru’s original name, if anyone was asking. I know you were.
In February 2011, I stepped down from my role of artist and writer, to just writer. The new artist is…Frederico Dalman! More info available soon!
Triune Mediums
Triune has gone back and forth, between pencils and pens, to Photoshop, and back. The comic is now done in Pencil, inked with Staedler pens, and scanned into Photoshop to complete the process.
Older pages are being reworked, redrawn, and recolored, if colored at all. This is a VERY slow process, but I hope to be done and caught up till at leas the second Issue by the end of the year. Maybe.
